The Journey

From Guatemala to California: A Story of Purpose, Passion, and Transformative Leadership

Born in Guatemala, Yoland Trevino's journey began with a deep commitment to social justice and community empowerment. In 1996, she immigrated to the United States, bringing with her a vision of collaborative leadership that would transform thousands of lives across communities.

From the early days of her career, Yoland dedicated herself to understanding the complex systems that shape education, health, psychology, and community development. Her work has spanned multiple disciplines, allowing her to develop a holistic approach to social change that addresses root causes rather than just symptoms.

"I believe that parents are powerful teachers, and that every community holds within itself the seeds of transformation. My role is simply to help those seeds flourish."

Throughout her career, Yoland has worked alongside international leaders and organizations, bringing together diverse perspectives to address some of the most pressing challenges facing communities today. Her collaborative approach has earned her recognition across multiple sectors, from education to public policy to community development.

As the founder of Transformative Collaborations International (TCI), Yoland created an organization dedicated to fostering partnerships that drive meaningful social change. Through TCI, she has developed programs that empower families, build youth leadership, and create sustainable community systems.
